If you don't know by now, Hairy Dawg is the mascot for the University of Georgia. While Uga is the University's live mascot, Hairy Dawg came to UGA during the 1981 Sugar Bowl where the Dawgs claimed their second National Championship Title. Ever since that day, Hairy has represented the University in the greatest way possible in everything from academics, to sports, to philanthropy events, and even with his natural born swagger.

Understanding the character of Hairy Dawg is extremely important when aspiring to tryout. To make a long description short, when Hairy enters a room, he owns it. While he knows that he is the baddest, meanest, and best looking dawg to ever come through UGA, his pride does not overflow into cockiness. Hairy recognizes that there have been other greats like himself through the years. Greats such as Herschel Walker, Vince Dooley, Larry Munson, and many others. Upholding the character and pride of Hairy Dawg, while representing the greatest University in the land, is the most important part of being Hairy.
